Early Life and Theatrical Career

Marina Grigorievna Golub was born on December 8, 1957, in Moscow, Russia, to actress Lyudmila Golub and GRU Colonel Grigory Golub.

From an early age, she was drawn to the performing arts. Upon graduating from high school, she resolutely pursued a career in acting and enrolled in the prestigious Moscow Art Theatre School (MXAT).

Despite her mother's initial resistance, Golub excelled in her studies and was praised by her teachers.

However, after graduating in 1979, she made the unexpected decision to leave the theater. With her eccentric personality, Golub felt out of sync with the formal theatrical environment of the time.
