Early Life and Influences

Erik Johansson, a Swedish photographer and artist, was born in 1985 in the small town of Götene in southwestern Sweden.

He grew up on a farm with his parents and two younger sisters. From a young age, Johansson had a passion for drawing, possibly influenced by his grandmother, who was a photographer. He also developed a fascination with computers at an early age, escaping to different worlds through computer games.

When he was fifteen years old, he received his first digital camera, which opened up a whole new world for him. While he had been primarily focused on drawing for several years, his interest in computers led him to explore what could be achieved through photography and graphic editing.
